Multi-day workshop dye your own warp and weave your self-dyed warp

This workshop consists of 3 parts.

De eerste dag verven we een schering van sokkenwol.

We prepare the dye together, you can choose from a wide range of colors. We use so-called acid dyes (suitable for dyeing wool, silk, etc.). Acid dyes are very economical, they react quickly with the fibers and are very colorfast.

Afterwards, take the chain with you, rinsed but still wet. It still needs to dry at home. Or you can choose to let the chain dry in the studio.

De tweede dag zetten we het weefgetouw op.

We start with beaming. Then we thread the heddles and pull the threads through the reed. After tying on we can start weaving.

At the end of the second day, you can take the loom home and continue weaving at home.

De derde dag werken we het weefwerk af.

Self-twisted fringes can be made, etc. We discuss the previous days and any questions you may have. Afterwards you can take your finished project home with you!

What to bring:

• An apron
• Clothes that can get dirty on the first day (just in case)

• The yarn, dyes and use of all materials
• The use of the loom during lessons
• A deposit of €300 must be paid on the second day when the loom is taken home, you will get this amount back when you return the loom on the third day.
• Coffee, tea and water and something tasty to go with it

Duration and price:

• The workshop lasts 3 days
• Dag 1: 3u van 9:30 tot 12:30
• Dag 2: 6u van 9:30 tot 15:30 zelf lunch voorzien
• Dag 3: 2,5u van 9:30 tot 12:00
• De prijs bedraagt 200€ per persoon inclusief garen en gebruik weefgetouw en materiaal
• If the loom is taken home, a deposit of €300 must be paid in cash on the second day. The deposit will be returned to you on the third day when you return the loom.

The workshop takes place with a minimum of 4 people with a maximum of 6 people. If there are not enough participants, the workshop will be canceled at least one week in advance with a refund of the registration fee or the option to register for another date.
